Make the backup progress bar more "live"

Description
Perhaps execute du -s <backupdir> every few seconds to get an estimate on how much GBs have been copied so far, and update the progress bar accordingly. Otherwise it is not obvious to the user whether the backup progresses or is it hanging or just crashed...
